Description:
Candy Blast – Innovation Series from San Agustín, Huila, Colombia
This isn’t your everyday cup – it’s a technicolor explosion of mint, watermelon, candy, citric spark, bubblegum, and raspberry that will keep you coming back for another sip.
High in the mountains of southern Huila (1,750m), the vibrant community of San Agustín producers is crafting coffees that balance heritage and experimentation. This UNESCO World Heritage region is known for rich volcanic soils, perfect altitude, and farmers who aren’t afraid to push flavor boundaries.
This lot combines Caturra and Colombia varieties in a wild process: a 48-hour anaerobic pre-fermentation, followed by a five-day fermentation with both dried & fresh watermelon. The result? Layers of juicy sweetness, tropical brightness, and a playful citrus lift.
After fermentation, the beans are sun-pre-dried, finished in static silos, and rested for 30 days to lock in flavor – delivering a cup that’s vibrant, complex, and bursting with personality.
Think candy shop meets fruit market – in your mug.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one. I don’t drink MCC for flavored coffee, and reading the description it sorta came across as such. It’s definitely not though. There’s a pleasant sweetness that isn’t cloying, and it comes across as almost juicy. Lots of fresh, bright fruit flavor here, and I wish I could have this on constant rotation.

If you’ve ever had watermelon bubblegum growing up, they have perfectly imparted into the coffee. It’s absolutely unique and delicious. I look forward to my cup every morning!

Has a subtle smooth sweet taste, this is unlike anything I've tried before. Possibly the best coffee I've ever tried.

I often don't pick up on the listed tasting notes, but this one is an exception. The watermelon and bubblegum is absolutely there, it smells and even tastes like Bubblicious Watermelon Wave, which itself might be a bit concerning if it didn't somehow blend beautifully in this coffee to produce a delicious cup. What an experience!

it was too floral for my tastes - reminded me of potpourri. However, the unique flavor was new and interesting and from that perspective I am very happy that I experienced it! I will try brewing at a lower temp (180deg) to see if that changes the floral-forwardness. Aeropress, inverted method, paper filter, 35g fine ground, 190deg water, 1min30s steep

This is a unique and very flavourful coffee that I keep coming back to make V60 pourovers with. I was dosing at about 23g in, and 345g out, and a reasonably quick draw down, probably at just about 3 minutes. It's giving watermellon jolly rancher vibes for me, and has a pretty strong floral nose. I've got one more dose of this left, and will savour every drop.
