El Cedro
Variety: Bourbon, Typica
Processing: Washed
Crop Year: 2017
Origin: Cajamarca, Peru
Producers: Valentin Guerrero Zurita
Altitude: 1350m
This vibrant washed coffee comes from the hills of Cajamarca, Peru where it was grown on Valentin Guerrero Zurita's El Cedro farm. Zurita is a member of the Aprocanorsi cooperative in Peru that works to increase quality and environmental responsibility in Peruvian coffee production. His Bourbon and Typica coffee plants are shade-grown, and he washes and ferments all of his coffee before drying it on parabolic beds to promote even moisture bean-to-bean.
This particular lot produces a dazzling flavor profile that's sure to satisfy even the most discerning coffee connoisseur. Bright, sweet notes of peach and plum pair well with this coffee's juicy body, and a crisp red apple flavor adds a little structure and sharpness to this luscious coffee. This coffee is a showstopper, and we're very happy that we get to share it with all of our members!

This coffee smells terrific, flavor is good, but I like a little stronger flavor.

This Peruvian coffee typifies the light roasts that Moustache offers. Hints of apple, with a nice body and finish. I recently received a similar Andean coffee from another online coffee club, and I was amazed at how similar the two tasted, although I thought the El Cedro a bit tastier. Excellent, if you enjoy light roasts, which really show off a coffee's attributes.

Very nice coffee with less bitterness then previous coffees I've received. Nice body even though I thought it was a lighter coffee. I would drink more of this.
