Score:
The microclimates in the Boquete Valley are ideal for coffee cultivation due to its high altitudes, rich volcanic soils, shade from the Baru Volcano, and proximity to both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Family owned by the Lamastus family since 1918, Elida Estate is masterful at producing natural processed coffees. They produce deeply fruity flavors, yet despite the intensity, there is finesse. The Lamastus family are excellent coffee cuppers, which can be very unusual in the coffee growing world. Their palates enable them to develop, and customize, flavor profiles to the preferences of their customers. All these unique growing conditions and deep knowledge of cultivating and processing coffee show in a truly distinguished cup.
We are tasting a fruit forward cup, with grape candy sweetness, rich honey, the tartness of raspberries, and of course, a touch of florals.
