This fruity and refreshing coffee originated on the Mwea rice plain in central Kenya, where it was grown by the Baragwi Cooperative. Kenyan coffees benefit from an extremely organized coffee culture and infrastructure that keeps production standards high and delivers unique lots at scale. This particular coffee was processed at the Gachami Factory, which has been washing and preparing high-quality Kenyan coffees since 1978, and you can tell they've got coffee down to a science as soon as these beans hit the grinder. Bright and tart, these SL28 and SL34 beans present a much sweeter flavor than what you would expect from traditional Kenyan coffees. Strong tropical fruit and citrus notes dominate the profile, but a faint floral quality complicates the sweetness and keeps it from being overwhelming. This coffee really struck us as something different, and we're glad we got to work with our friends at Nordic Approach to source and deliver this coffee to your door. Enjoy!
