This top-lot coffee from the Businde Washing Station is a masterclass in balance and depth. Expect a velvety body wrapped in dark chocolate and maple syrup sweetness, lifted by vibrant bursts of clementine and black grape. Layers of dried cherries add a lingering, wine-like finish that evolves beautifully as the cup cools.
Businde Washing Station, nestled in Burundi’s cool northern highlands (1650–1800m), works with around 650 smallholder farmers — paying 20% above market rate for top-quality cherries and ensuring traceability from tree to cup. After meticulous fermentation, the coffee dries for 20 days on raised African beds, locking in its rich complexity and clean, fruit-forward profile.
If you love coffees that merge deep chocolate tones with bright, juicy acidity, this one’s for you.
