Black Condor — Tolima, Colombia

From the mountains of Gaitania, Planadas — a region historically shaped by conflict and celebrated as the birthplace of Colombian coffee — comes this beautifully expressive washed lot. In 2016, a grower named Emmanuel and his family built a coffee processing center to serve over 15 surrounding villages. By 2019, the Black Condor Project was born, uniting smallholder farmers affected by decades of hardship under a shared commitment to quality.

A returning favorite at Moustache Coffee Club, this coffee continues to deliver the same comforting, crowd-pleasing profile we've come to love: rich almond and caramel sweetness anchored by red fruit brightness and a touch of panela warmth.

Grown on Caturra and Castillo plants, the coffee is carefully fermented with mucilage for 24 hours before a slow 15–25 day patio dry — a process that yields a remarkably consistent and inviting cup. This is community coffee at its finest: purposeful, sweet, and deeply satisfying.
